What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

A transparent thermoplastic polyurethane film applied to painted vehicle surfaces to protect against stone chips, scratches, road debris, stains and environmental damage — without altering the original colour underneath.

Will the film yellow or turn cloudy?

Accepted Answer

Not within the warranty term. Yellowing is caused by UV breaking down the polymer, which is why our UV barrier sits above the impact core rather than below it. If a panel discolours while in warranty, we replace that panel at no cost — film and labour.

Question 3

How does self-healing actually work?

Accepted Answer

The elastomer layer has shape-memory bonds that relax above roughly 42 °C. A swirl or light scratch deforms the surface without cutting through it, and when the panel warms — direct sun, a warm rinse, or a heat gun on low — the polymer returns to its moulded shape and the mark closes. Deep cuts that reach the core do not heal; those are an insurance matter, not a warranty one.

Can film be applied over an older or repainted car?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with a condition report first. Film bonds to whatever is underneath it, so failing clear coat or a soft respray must be corrected before installation. We inspect paint depth at 340 points and will tell you honestly if a panel needs work — or if we should not wrap it at all.

How long does an installation take?

Accepted Answer

A front-end installation is a single day. A full-body wrap in Diamond or Sapphire runs three to four days, and longer where paint correction happens first and the film must cure between stages. We do not compress these timelines; rushing installation is how edges lift six months later.

Question 6

How do I wash a car wrapped in D3 film?

Accepted Answer

Two-bucket hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, top down, and a soft drying towel. Avoid automatic brush tunnels and never pressure-wash directly into an edge from close range. A maintenance detail every twelve months keeps the ceramic topcoat performing — it is included with Signature and Concours packages.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell the car?

Accepted Answer

On Sapphire, yes — once, to the next owner, for the remaining term. Transfer takes about two minutes in the E-Warranty portal using the registration number and its last four characters.

What is not covered?

Accepted Answer

Impact damage that penetrates the film, accident repair, chemical etching from unremoved bird lime or fuel spills, and film removed or altered by a non-certified installer. Everything else — lifting, bubbling, cracking, yellowing, adhesive failure, loss of self-healing — is covered.
